Shingles: We are proud to be an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor. We have used Owens Corning as our main shingle line for over 20 years and have excellent feedback from our customers about their performance. We use Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration Shingles featuring Surenail technology. Many other brands are available for installation upon request.
Underlayment: Underlayment provides an additional layer of protection between your roof's decking and the shingles, mainly to guard against wind-driven rain that can get beneath the shingles. Most shingled roofs require two forms of underlayment, traditional or synthetic felt, and ice and water guard. We provide all of the options mentioned above.
Ventilation: We use VentSure® Rigid Roll Ridge Vents and standard louver style vents. Proper ventilation can help prevent damage and premature aging caused by moisture in the winter and excess heat in the summer. It will: Help allow outside air to flow naturally upward and out of attic. Promote a cool, dry attic. Help prevent moisture from becoming trapped in insulation, structural wood, shingles and roof deck. Help prevent rotting, mildew, drywall damage, peeling paint and warped siding. Provide year-round performance for consistent ventilation without energy consumption.
Low slope roofing: Certain areas of a home with roof slopes below a 2/12 pitch can require special attention. These low slope roofs, commonly found over garages, car ports, porches, additions, and sunrooms typically don't have the drainage of a normal roof. As a result, snow, rain, and ice may cause leaks in these areas. We provide EPDM and self adhering roofing products for low slope roofs.
